Chen Ya a newly promoted Training Manager gets a request from Sales department which applies for training on telesales skills for newly recruited sales people. Chen Ya had experience on telesales and plans to offer training herself. After studying current textbooks in the company, she provides training, which nearly turns to a farce. In order to provide a set of systematic and practical training techniques and methods for new trainers so that they will confidently achieve the first leap towards a professional trainers, AMA(China) integrates the globally advanced training conceptions with the ten-year-plus training experience of the senior internal trainers and delicately designs the course of “Training the Trainer”. This course covers the theories and applications of course design as well as the lift of professional qualities and skills of a trainer. A trainer, after being trained in this course, will be truly sure about what he or she should do and how to do.

Training the Trainer mainly includes the following components:
 
- Success factors for a professional trainer: When the trainers go back to the auditorium and discover with the trainees about the features of their beloved trainers, they will review their roles and present situations from the perspective of the trainees. Once they get to know the standards of success and realize their own gap, they will have strong motivations to learn and unremittingly perfect themselves.
 
- Adult learning theories and application: This is the foundation of exploring and implementing the training course. All the methods that employed in the training course are based on the three learning preferences: auditory (learning by hearing), visual (learning by seeing), kinesthetic (learning by doing). How to combine various training tools flexibly to attain the best training effect relies on the deep understanding of adult learning process and learning methods. Accelerated learning theories are effective training design methods which are created in accordance with the features of adult learning. It is shortened as “The Eight Steps”. “The Eight Steps” integrates the whole learning process through the flexible combination of eight basic design factors. Through the learning of “The Eight Steps”, the trainees can understand the design ideas of the training course and judge if ideas are proper or not. In addition, they can make some alterations according to the specific features of the trainees.
 
- Trainer’s credibility: How come that some trainers can attract the heart of trainees during the first twenty minutes of the course while some trainers fail to control the whole class as time goes by? The cultivation of credibility is an indispensable part for a trainer. The set up and lift of one’s credibility is based on the analysis of the source of credibility. Only by creating target-oriented learning strategies from different aspects through both verbal and non-verbal communication can a trainer be able to grasp the attention of the trainees firmly.
