Focal points: Enter people’s heart, remove the obstacles which restrict their growth, and achieve self-breakthrough.
By using “non-directive” approaches, the goal is to help people develop their potentials and uniqueness so that they can solve problems by themselves and enhance their work performance.
When is the “coaching leadership” needed?
- The same patterns of behavior repeat, but the person does not know
- The person knows but cannot improve the situation
- The person has strong points of view and negative emotions
- So the person’s development is constrained, which is very unfortunate for both the enterprise and the person
Highlights of Program
The program achieves three major breakthroughs in leadership:
- Be able to see and understand the inner world of people
We often feel that a person has some problem, but we are not sure what it is and we do not ask directly. If we ask about it, we are afraid that some chaos could appear.
The coaching model in this program (See the right diagram) helps us identify the inner state of the person.
- Unlock people’s inner world without hurt
We have seen the problem but do not know how to talk about it. We want to let the person understand our thoughts and make some change. However, because of our wrong words, the person believes that we think badly of him/her. As a result, both sides are hurt and cannot make dialogues any longer.
The coaching process and tools taught in the program can help us make genuine dialogues with the person, always around the theme.
- Ask for action and avoid vain attempts
The person has not been convinced and lacks the motivation to change. As a result, tracking becomes a constraint.
After the constraint of inner world has been unlocked, the employee would like to change. In such case, our tracking will become the helps which they need.
Differences between this program and the others
- This program is an advanced program for teaching programs
- Based on the theories developed from Satir and the metaphor as iceberg, the program explains that the limitations of personal growth have been proved to result from five levels, namely behavior, feeling, view, expectation and desire. By aiming at these levels, five strategies have been developed for the breakthrough of growth limitations.
- The program emphasizes on learning how to help people to “change a pattern”, not just to “solve a problem”, which can provide more in-depth help to others to change.
