Kent Chen is a leading Taiwanese business professional turned coach. With a goal of helping people realize their potential, Kent has been associated with AMA China as an Executive Coach for 3 years.
Working from his base in Taipei, Kent coaches senior executives in leading organizations and continues to donate time to various organizations that need his expertise. Now, he is the Chairman of ICF(International Coaching Federation) Taiwan.
Kent was formally educated in Taiwan and the USA having obtained the following degrees over the years:
▪ BA Economics - National Taiwan University
▪ MBA - University of Houston
▪ Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology - National Taipei Education University
Kent has over 20 years of management experience gained in senior executive positions in leading IT companies most notably IBM where prior to becoming a freelance consultant he was General Manager of Telecommunications and Media Industries, Greater China. Kent combines his work experience with a deep understanding of human psychological processes.
Kent served as an advisor to the Research and Development Evaluation Council of the ROC Government (1999-2000) and was selected as Outstanding Sales Manager of the Year by the Chinese Professional Management Association (1991). He also volunteers his time to the Shiuh-Li Liuh Memorial Foundation, a leading non-profit organization in Taiwan providing community counseling services and professional counseling training.
