Ms. Sophie Xie has 15 years of experience in human resources management. She once served as the human resources manager and training manager of PepsiCo responsible for recruitment and team-establishment, remuneration, training and development, examination and more of branch offices, South China Area and West China Area. Thereby she has accumulated a wealth of human resource management experience. As a management staff, in addition to HR professional competence, she also acquires strong management skills. She did well in the communication with employees, counseling, incentives and trans-departmental cooperation, led the team to carry out the organizational capacity improvement and building, and successfully guided the corporate culture construction, sharing a number of successful stories inside the Group. Moreover, she won the Global CEO Award.

From 2008 to 2010, Ms. Xie worked in PepsiCo Foods (China) Co., Ltd. as the Human Resources Manager of the South China Region, and achieved a high degree of fit of work in the Human Resource Department to the need of front-line sales and a substantial increase in the stability of regional staff. Meanwhile, she set up a 3S workshop in cooperation with the team, and managed the regional team-building, with zero loss of the regional management team, from which the most talents were output to the headquarters and other regions, during her tenure in 2008 and 2009. In addition, the regional demission rate in this period witnessed a significant reduction, with demission rate of the sales team dropping from 38% in 2007 to 13.5% in 2009. Therefore, she won the PepsiCo Global CEO Award 2009.

From 2006 to 2007, Ms. Xie worked in Hangzhou Branch of PepsiCo Company, as training and performance development manager. Just during the critical period for re-establishment of the regional team, she is responsible for regional recruitment, performance examination and training from manufacture and logistics to sales.

From 2002 to 2006, Ms. Xie served as manager and supervisor in human resources and administration in Guangzhou Branch of PepsiCo Company Ltd. She established an internal customer service (ICS) system in a bid to improve trans-departmental cooperation. The achievement rate of commitments for internal customers in all departments of the factory improved from 50% in 2003 to 90% in 2005, and thus won an opportunity to share best practices on enterprise’s cultural building at the annual meeting for PepsiCo Greater China Region in 2006.

Ms. Xie has accumulated a wealth of training experience. In PepsiCo, she served as an internal lecturer of PepsiCo (China) Co., Ltd. for a long term; as the full-time lecturer of a national college lecture tour “Help You Start” organized by South China Market of Human Resources in 2002; as a specially invited management consultant for Guangzhou SIMGO Mall in 2008; and as a guest lecturer of “Dating with Success” invited by CITIC-Prudential and Generali China Life Insurance. 

The common response from participants is that Ms. Xie is amiable and focuses on the interaction with trainees; she is good at inspiring trainees to think based on practical problems, and pays equal attention to professionalism and applicability, as well as the training effect.
