Activity Review: WIAL-East China Action Learning Experience Seminar Completed Successfully in Guangzhou on April 12th
2013-04-19
On April 12th, 2013, another WIAL-East China Action Learning Experience Seminar was successfully held at the Crowne Plaza Guangzhou City Centre.
Jason Zheng, AMA’s Action Learning Director and Certified Action Learning Coach, was invited to act as the lecturer and ALC in this seminar.
The seminar topic proposed by the Problem Presenter was: How to reduce the turnover of sales staff to the industry average? Focused on this topic, the participants had a 1-hour Action Learning meeting. Through the meeting, we found that the participants knew exactly the leadership they need to enhance but didn’t understand the leadership’s specific behavior. In addition, we also noticed that the composition of a team would somehow affect the working efficiency of the team. However, it doesn’t mean that a team requires a lot of “experts”.
In the following Q&A section, Coach Jason Zheng listened to the participants’ experience and confusion about the entire Action Learning process and re-emphasized the prerequisite of topic selection – important, urgent and without solution – as only such topics can get the maximum resources and support from the organization and play an essential role in promoting the Action Learning program.
